What information is used to calculate a Kundli?

A birth chart depends on the birth date, birth time and birthplace. The birthplace is converted into geographic coordinates and a timezone so the planetary positions and ascendant can be calculated for the correct moment.

Birth time matters especially for the ascendant and house positions. Even when the planetary signs are unchanged, a different birth time can change the rising sign and the way planets are distributed through the houses.

What does a Kundli contain?
